What does it mean to belong?
Belonging. Fitting in. Being part of a group – a fundamental human need. But how does that work? Our society is full of countless groups, large and small, to which we may or may not belong. Where there's an "in," there's also an "out." Entrances, access points, and exits are sometimes visible, sometimes invisible, sometimes more or less permeable. Sometimes we choose for ourselves whether we want to be "in" or "out." In some things, it's simply a given – and sometimes others decide for us…
The artists of the MÜN Collective invite viewers aged 12 and up to explore themes of sameness and difference, belonging and exclusion, self-expression, and encounters with one another. In Korean and simplified English, through striking imagery using body and movement, they share their experiences in Korea and Germany, making them accessible to a young audience.
