About the collective
The MÜN Collective is an independent collective from North Rhine-Westphalia, founded in 2023 by Moonjoo Kim and Minju Kim. With Minju Kim's experience in acting and physical theatre, as well as Moonjoo Kim's profound expertise in traditional Korean dance, they merge different disciplines in a unique way.
Their artistic approach is shaped by the experience of living on the border between countries and the associated conflicts. They project these onto their own bodies. Aesthetically, they negotiate social questions surrounding identity, migration, and political dynamics.
In 2023, the MÜN Collective collaborated with the BaBaCircus Theater Company on the production "Becoming an Acquaintance." The play was selected as the official premiere of the 2024 Seoul International Theatre Festival and received several awards, including Best Production, Best Text, Best Set Design, and Best Actor.
